The simple automatic sprinkler system, with small inversion features and simple construction, is widely used in several existing small buildings that have high fire risk. In this study, experiments were performed to analyze the feasibility of using plastic tubes in the simple automatic sprinkler system.

Sleeping tubes, a kind of forced oscillating heat pipes, necessarily require some conduction mechanisms for the oscillations of closed working fluids. They are usually mechanically mounted, but are not suitable for practical use because they become very large in volume. An innovative type of sleep tube with an electromagnetically driven oscillating disc is proposed in this study. The conduction principle basically follows the Lorentz force generated on the electric cables fixed in the disk, in the radial direction of which a magnetic field of periodic variation is formed applying the three-phase alternating current. The feasibility of this new device is examined theoretically by analysis both from the thermal and electrical point of view. The heat transfer analysis is done first to determine the required actuating force, from which the displacement of the fluid tide is derived to show a possible possible amplitude of oscillation. A Joule heat minimization analysis is then performed to specify a suitable pair of applied and direct current voltages. Such specified voltages can be lowered to a lower level by selecting the driving frequency to become an intrinsic. The specific power, defined as the power / heat ratio, is introduced as the performance index of that device. The numerical results show that a power less specific than 0.10 is possible in most cases of assumed design and that the required magnetic flux density is much less than 0.5 T. It is thus concluded that the electromagnetic led tube Is achievable. A dream tube of 400 W m of electromagnetic drive class is then designed as a demonstrative example.
