INTRODUCTION
Today is the era where energy conservation is the foremost need. This energy can be from renewable or non renewable sources as well.But since we are dealing with electrical theory so our aim is to conserve the electrical energy.The cost of generating the electricity is very high and we cannot store the electrical energy. Therefore energy conservation is very important. Now a days energy conservation is done by load shedding.
Load Shedding is a technique in which the electric supply of particular region is switched OFF for predefined time. After that time the supply is again connected to that particular region.Now we are doing the same thing but in automatic way, using microcontroller 89C51,relays etc.
Keyboard Section
The keyboard section is as shown in the figure below. The keyboard is designed as a matrix and is interfaced to port 0 of the master IC. Here all port is considered as input port. In the normal condition when any key is not pressed, microcontroller sense high output to the all pin of port0. When we press any key corresponding pin of microcontroller goes low, thus microcontroller sense low input. Microcontroller is programmed to senses low input and perform particular task.
CENTER TAP STEP DOWN TRANSFORMER
A center tapped transformer is a transformer with a tap in the middle of the secondary winding, usually used as a grounded neutral connection, intended to provide an option for the secondary side to use the full available voltage output or just half of it according to need. In a rectifier, a center-tapped transformer and two diodes can form a full-wave rectifier that allows both half-cycles of the AC waveform to contribute to the direct current, making it smoother than a half-wave rectifier. This form of circuit saves on rectifier diodes compared to a diode bridge.
Display section:
The display section consists of 16*2 LCD, which used to display Summary project. LCDs can add a lot to your application in terms of providing an useful interface for the user, debugging an application or just giving it a "professional" look. The most common type of LCD controller is the Hitatchi 44780 which provides a relatively simple interface between a processor and an LCD.
