ATM security system using GSM and MEMS is one of the hot topics in the embedded systems industry. To provide ATM security The GSM and MEMS modules are controlled by the use of the ATMEL processor based on the AT89S52 microcontroller.
Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems (MEMS) is the integration of mechanical elements, sensors, actuators and electronics into a common silicon substrate through micro-manufacturing technology. The broadest requirement for these very small devices is the ability to detect the environment, collect the necessary data and create a signal or action to make the desired changes to the environment.
In this project ATMEL based AT89S52 Microcontroller monitors MEMS module, GSM and motor. MEMS is placed on the outer panel of the ATM, if any tilt is identified by this block, MEMS sends a signal to AT89S52 and as the signal is received, it locks the ATM gate and the alert message is sent to the security by GSM Module.
Prevent ATM Theft:
When someone attempts to decompose at the ATM the MEMS (mechanical mechanical sensor) gets disturbed it sends an output signal to the ATMEL processor then a message will be sent to the authorized person through the GSM modem and the gate will be automatically blocked using the stepper motor .
