Motivation has been defined as: the psychological process that gives behavior purpose & direction (Kreitner, 1995) a predisposition to behave in a purposive manner to achieve specific, an internal drive to satisfy an unsatisfied need (Higgins, 1994) ; and the will to achieve (Bedeian, 1993), For this paper, motivation is operationally defined as the inner force that drives individuals to accomplish personal & organizational goals.



Employee Motivation
A question often by first line supervisors & managers is “How do we motivate our employees ?’ Effectively motivating employees to achieve a desired outcome is one of the most important function as a supervisor or manager. There is evidence to show organizations are facing challenges retaining employees due to limited opportunities for advancement & the current competitive labor market . It does not appear things will get any better in the future. The loss of employees represents a loss of skills, knowledge, & experiences & can create a significant economic impact & cost to corporations as well as impacting the needs of customers. (Ramlal, 2004)


1.1 Conceptual framework
The project work entitled “MOTIVATIONAL LEVEL OF DOMINO’S EMPLOYEE TO THE MCDONALDS EMPLOYEE.” With reference to DOMINO”S AT C21 MALL ,INDORE & MCDONALDS AT MANGAL CITY , INDORE is mainly conducted to see the level of motivation & also the factors which motivate the employees & the Organizational functions.
Management’s basic job is the effective utilization of human resources for achievements of organizational objectives.

1.2 VARIABLE DEFINED
According to the various theories of motivation put forward by various experts & researchers the major variables affecting motivation are summarized, as per maslow’s need hierarchy theory of motivation.
