Kakkori Train Conspiracy - 1925
*Kakkori Train Conspiracy also known as Kakkori Train Robbery was an armed robbery which took place on August 9,1925 in Uttar Pradesh.
*The leaders of Hindustan Republican Association, Ashfaqullah Khan, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Thakur Roshan Singh, Ramprasad Bismil and 6 others were the mastermind behind the attack.
*The british captured them and Ashfaqullah Khan, Ramprasad Bismil, Roshan Singh & Rajendra Lahiri were hanged on December 1927.
*Chandrasekhar Azad shot himself on 27 February 1931.
*Sachindra Nath Sanyal was deported to Kalapani
*The court appointed Jagat Narayan Mulla as public prosecutor, but he refused to take up the defence
Simon Commission-1927
*On 26th November 1927 a commission was announced by British Government. But it was arrived in India on 3rd February 1928.
*It was an all white commission and no Indian was associated with it.
*The commission consisted of seven Englishmen and Sir John Simon was its chairman.
*Simon Commission was also known as All White Commission.
