Integrated systems are designed to perform specific tasks, rather than being a multi-purpose general purpose computer. Some also have real-time performance constraints that must be met, for reasons such as security and usability; others may have low or non-existent performance requirements, allowing you to simplify system hardware to reduce costs. An embedded system is not always a separate block, very often it is physically incorporated into the device it is controlling. Software written for embedded systems is often called firmware, and is stored in read only memory or flash convector chips instead of a disk drive. Often it works with limited resources of computer hardware: small or without keyboard, screen and little memory. Recently, an area of commercial interest has been low-cost, low-power and short-distance wireless communication used for personal wireless networks. Technological advancements are providing smaller, more cost-effective devices to integrate computational processing, wireless communication and a host of other features. These integrated communications devices will integrate into applications ranging from national security to automation and monitoring of the industry. They will also enable custom engineering solutions, creating a revolutionary way to disseminate and process information. With the new technologies and devices new commercial activities arise and the need of employees in these technological areas. Engineers with knowledge of integrated systems and wireless communications will be in high demand. Unfortunately, there are few lovable environments available for classroom development and use, so students often do not learn about these technologies during practical laboratory exercises. The media were twisted pair, optical fiber, infrared and, generally, wireless radio. Wireless communication has become an important feature for commercial products and a popular research topic in the last ten years.
