Smart cards are used in information technology as portable embedded devices with data storage and data processing capabilities. As in other fields, the use of smart cards in health systems became popular because of its increased capacity and performance. Smart cards are used as an electronic health record (EHR) Its efficient use with easy and fast access to the facility data leads to particularly wide application in hospitals. In this work, an Integrated Electronic Health Registration System based on smart cards is developed. The system uses the smart card for personal identification and health data transfer and provides data communication. In addition to personal information, general patient health information is also loaded into the patient's smart card. Healthcare providers use smart cards to access patient card data. Electronic health records have a number of advantages over paper registration, which improve accuracy, quality of patient care, reduce cost, efficiency, productivity. In the present paper we measure biomedical parameters such as blood pressure, diabetes mellitus and pulse oxygen measurement, etc. Patient clinical parameters and details of the health store in the electronic health record.
Hospital automation systems are intended to provide an efficient working environment for healthcare professionals. Access to accurate health data quickly is one of the main functions of this system. There can be many sources that information related to patients can be obtained from the patient, test results, doctor diagnoses for patient illness, health measurement devices and previously stored patient information. The usual way to obtain relevant data is from a paper record. Paper-based records have low cost and have limitations such as difficult access, uptime, security, inability to share and maintain throughout life.
