Phillips Kiln Services Europe has perfected the alignment process for rotary kilns and 2-seat rotary vessels. Our rotary kiln and rotary vessel alignment methods use patented procedures to produce the most accurate analysis available. Alignment means that position the support rollers so that the bending and distortion of the furnace or dryer envelope is minimized and the supports proportionally share the load. The alignment of the carcass between the support pillars, the sprocket circumference and the tires for supporting the rollers is essential for all rotary units.
Bending and distortion of the kiln shell greatly increase mechanical wear and can severely reduce the shell and the refractory life of the brick. Poor load distribution leads to problems with the rollers and bearings.
