Maruti Suzuki India Limited is India's leading and largest passenger car manufacturer accounting for nearly 50 percent of the industry's total sales. In order to satisfy the demand of all types of customers, the company has a wide variety of brands in its basket, from the Maruti 800 car to the elegant Swift, the SX4 Sedan and the luxurious SUV Grand Vitara. The company has received numerous awards and achievements thanks to its continuous innovations and technological gradations. The company today is well aware about the environmental protection of vehicle contamination that resulted in the launch of its advanced K Series engines. Despite tough competition, Maruti Suzuki India Limited is currently regarded as the leader of the giant Of the automobile due to its remarkable economic, environmental and social results. The objective of this work is to evaluate the performance of Maruti Suzuki India Limited with respect to the Export, Sales, Production and Sales Network.
The business objectives are to provide a high quality product to the customer at lower cost and earlier delivery. Six Sigma is a major tool that helps achieve these goals. The goal of the Six Sigma methodology is to improve quality by reducing the number of defects as much as possible. This article describes the application of statistical methods in quality improvement after the implementation of Six Sigma. This case study was carried out at Caparo Maruti Ltd, BAWAL which mainly manufactures various sheet metal parts and components associated with automobiles. In this case, our focus is mainly on the manufacture of one of these sheet metal parts, that is, part of the wheel panel of the left inner housing (LH) and right (RH) metal sheet part for the model G (Maruti Suzuki SWIFT). The Pareto diagram was used to analyze various defects that occur in this sheet metal part and the Fishbone diagram is used to explain the causes of the defects. The case study recommended measures to improve quality.
