*If an innocent member of a Scheduled caste or Scheduled Tribe be convicted and executed inconsequence of false or fabricated evidence the person who gives or fabricates such evidence shall be punished with death.
*The punishment for intentionally insulting a member of the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes is imprisonment for a period between 6 months and 5 years.
*Kerala Scheduled Tribes (Restriction on Transfer) Act prohibits any transfer of immovable property by a member of Scheduled Tribe to a non-Scheduled Tribe.
*The offences under the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes Act are tried by the court of sessions notified by the Government under the Act.
*Article 164 of the Constitution provides for separate ministers for Tribal Welfare in the states of Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhyapradesh and Odisha.
*Originally this provision was applicable to Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. The 94th Amendment Act 2006 freed Bihar from the obligation of having a tribal welfare minister and extended the provision to the newly formed states of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

Protection of Civil Rights Act 1955
*Parliament has enacted the Untouchability j (offences) Act 1955, which has been amended and renamed in 1976 as the Protection of Civil Rights Act 1955.
It extends to the whole of India. The protection of Civil Rights Act 1955 prescribes punishments for discrimination on the ground of untouchability.
*Punishment for offences under the Act may range from 6 months to two years imprisonment.
*A citizen convicted of the offence of ‘Untouchability’ shall be disqualified for election to the Union or a State legislature.

Lok AYUKTA
*The Lokayuktha is an anti-corruption authority constituted at the state level. It investigates allegations of corruption and maladministration against public servants and is tasked with speedy redressal of public grievances.
*The origin of Lokayukta can be traced to the Ombudsman in Scandinavian countries.
*The first Administrative Reforms  Commission (ARC), headed by Morarji Desai, in its interim report on problems of  Redressal of Citizen’s Grievances , (1966) recommended the setting up of two independent special authorities designated as Lokpal’at the centre and ‘Lokayukta’ at the state level for the redressal of citizen’s . grievances. I
*Almost all the states have created Lokayukta as a statutory authority with a fixed tenure to enable it to discharge its functions independently and impartially. 
*Members of the public can directly approach the Lokayukta with complaints of corruption, nepotism or any other form of maladministration.
*How many Upa Lok Ayuktas are envisaged in Kerala Lok Ayukta Act - Two Appointment of Lok Ayukta and Upa Lok Ayukta are done as per Section 3 of Kerala Lok Ayukta Act.
*A person to be appointed as Lok Ayukta should have held the post of - A Judge of Supreme Court or Chief Justice of High Court
*A person, to be appointed as Upa Lok Ayukta, should have held or holds the post of - A Judge of High Court 
*Governor appoints the Lok Ayukta as advised by - Chief Minister
*Prior to the appointment of Lok Ayukta, the Governor has to consult Chief Minister, Speaker and Opposition Leader of Legislative Assembly.
