Image processing is being applied in many fields in today's world,
• Automotive sector: In the development of advanced drivers assist for semi-autonomous cars and also very used in autonomous cars / without driver
• Image Enhancement: Camera applications in smart phones and digital cameras that use image processing to improve image quality, video stabilization and noise elimination, etc.
• Robotics: Navigation of mobile robot in unknown environment (SLAM), control of the robot by processing the video feed of the camera in the robot to extract the live scene around it
• Games: Advanced game consoles such as Xbox Kinect use image processing from the human player's motion analysis.
• Specific problem solutions: Image processing is used as a solution to a variety of problems, from face recognition to defect identification in manufacturing

Now days applications require several types of images as sources of information for interpretation and inspection. Image enhancement is a method for applying different alterations to an input image to make the resulting image more pleasant or to provide a better rendering of the transformation for future automated image processing techniques. Many images such as medical images, satellite images and even photographs of real life suffer from bad sharpness and noisy effects. This is essential for improving the contrast and eliminating noise to increase the image standard. One is presenting a review on various image enhancement techniques to improve sharpness. However, these techniques are able to bring about remarkable changes in the images and sometimes also produce unwanted artifacts in many cases. These problems have to be solved so that better improvement can be made in future work.
