The IEEE 14 Bus Test Case represents a part of the American Electric Power System (in the Midwest of the USA) as of February 1962. The printed data was provided by Iraj Dabbagchi of AEP and introduced in IEEE Common Data Format By Rich Christie at Washington University in August 1993. This test case consists of 14 buses, 5 generators and 11 loads. The bus 14 test case has NO line limits. Compared to the 1990 power systems, it has low base voltages and an overabundance of voltage control capability.
