ABSTRACT
PROJECT TITLE : GATI TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
This Software project is aimed at automation of a Travel Agency. Objective of the project is to develop customize software package for Travel Agencies.
The system also provides a comprehensive mechanism of transport maintenance for any travel agency. GATI TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is designed to help wide range of travel agencies come together and provide service to the customer. TRANSPORT SERVICE comprehensive functionality helps the agencies expand their horizons in the field of providing transport maintenance to the management.

EXISTING SYSTEM
The software GATI TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, which is designed for administrating & automating all the major activities that are carried out in an Travel Agency to increase the efficiency of the Agency in order to provide better service to the customer.
INTRODUCTION
Purpose: The main purpose for preparing this document is to give a general insight into the analysis and requirements of the existing system or situation and for determining the operating characteristics of the system.
Scope: This Document plays a vital role in the development life cycle (SDLC)
As it describes the complete requirement of the system. It is meant for use by the developers and will be the basic during testing phase. Any changes made to the requirements in the future will have to go through formal change approval process.
Developers Responsibilities Overview :
The developer is responsible for:
1) Developing the system, which meets the SRS and solving all the requirements of the system.
2) Demonstrating the system and installing the system at client's location after the acceptance testing is successful.
3) Submitting the required user manual describing the system interfaces to work on it and also the documents of the system.
4) Conducting any user training that might be needed for using the system.
5) Maintaining the system for a period of one year after installation.
Functional Requirements:
Inputs: The major inputs for Trans Service Net can be categorized module -wise. Basically all the information is managed by the software and in order to access the information one has to produce one's identity by entering the user-id and password. Every user has his/her own domain of access beyond which the access is dynamically refrained rather denied.
Output: The major outputs of the system are tables and reports. Tables are created dynamically to meet the requirements on demand. Reports, as it is obvious, carry the gist of the whole information that flows across the institution.
This application must be able to produce output at different modules for different inputs.
Performance Requirements:
Performance is measured in terms of reports generated weekly and monthly.The Online Courier Service system is currently maintaining the Courier companyâ„¢s process manually which is a very time consuming process. It deals with transport industryâ„¢s ticket booking and transport maintainance, so it becomes a very tedious job for the transporter to look after these particulars to complete the task at right time. The Trans Service Net system not only deals with transporters owned vehicles but also takes into consideration about the other types of transport vehicles available with other transporters .
MODULE DESCRIPTION
The Project GATI TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM deals with the automation of the Transport information System . This project explains about the transporters how exactly the maintenance of the transport system works , whether the transport may be of passengers or goods. The System clearly deals with all the information of the Transporters , firstly they define the transportation type and their name. Next it deals with the operation , how exactly the system works and who are all involved in the system. The Project is divided into different modules . They are as follows.

4. Payroll System
5. Maintenance
Hence by the above modules explains the operation this system clearly . The System defines the transporters details with their mode of their transportation types and then come the services they offer and the complete employee details with their maintenance structure . They also define all their services, route maps , request stops and the places of their services. The System clearly explains them module wise as follows.
1. Transportation Details :
Once the user clicks on this module he will be able to know the transporters details along with his mode of services , he also can know his best services by his past records . This will also inform the customer how flexible mode of transportation / secured / punctual it is.
2. Service Details :
When the user clicks on this module he will be informed about the detailed services the transporter has. How vast the transportation is available to all the major places to the passenger. What are the possible request stops available where the passengers can board. What are the tariffâ„¢s of the transportation , how viable the rates are compared to the other mode of transportation. How comfortable the services are.
3. Routes :
When the user clicks on this module , he will come to know to how many routes the services of this transporter exists. And the user will come to know route map of each destination clearly. He can also estimate the shortest route map of the transporter to his destination and carry on his journey. The System even tells the customers the start time of the bus and the reach time of the destiny , what is the Bus registration number to that particular time and which driver is on duty at that time.
4. Payroll System :
The System also keeps track the information of the drivers and the other employees record. The system keeps the data of each driver with his full bio-data . The System even records each drivers leaves history / over time details , his Basic, hra, cca , Pf and calculate his Net Salary at the end of the month with his work schedule.
5. Maintenance :
When the user clicks on this module it clearly gives the maintenance report of vehicle. It even keeps the track of the each vehicle details when the vehicle purchased and its maintenance. The maintenance of the vehicle really refers the driving performance of each driver. Even the mileage of the each vehicle is noted by noting the bus no, start reading , end reading , diesel in the tank in liters and finally calculate the kilometers per liter. Hence this gives how efficiency the vehicle is working and how good the maintenance of the driver is. By this information the transporter comes to know the standards of his company.
