ROAD TRANSPORT AUTHORITY (RTA) REGISTRATION OF A NUMBER/ AUCTION SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
 Among the various types of transport facilities available road transport plays a unique role as the best mode of transport for relatively short distances connecting the rural areas with towns and cities for which other modes of transport are not readily suited.
 Mobility and transport shape our living options.
 In many countries having a vehicle is termed as a primary need.
 Every one dreams to own a vehicle of there own.
 Some dream beyond what they have…. like…..
 Andhra Pradesh has been recording a sustained growth in the number of vehicles from the past few years. The development of good infrastructure, besides the state emerging as a major IT hub has enabled the accelerated growth of vehicles.
• Thus, by the above graph we can say that the number of vehicles sold every year have increased randomly. And for every vehicle we need a registration…..
Why registration important?
 According to the government rule, no person shall drive any motor vehicle in any public places or any other places, unless the vehicle is registered.
Where it should be registered?
 Every owner of motor vehicle shall cause the vehicle to be registered by a registrating authority in whose jurisdiction he has residence or place where the vehicle is normally kept.
Getting a desired number is easy?
 Having a Lucky Number, Fancy Number, Odd Number, Even Number and sum of the numbers to a lucky digit is the unavoidable and a major issue for the Car, Bike and all other vehicle owners.
 Getting a desired number is really becoming a tough pattern, have to visit the RTA Office, have to check for numbers with the department, and if the department is not co-operative enough then have to locate an agent. Next step is to look for a number.
• If the desired number appears in the list, we are really lucky otherwise, we have to pay extra amount to get the number and sometimes you need to wait for months to get the desired number. Few will pick whatever number is allotted to them by the registration authority.
• But many would be interested in selecting a fancy number of their choice.
Is there any solution for this.?
 Yes, The problem can be easily resolved by having a web portal for RTA Registered Numbers and their Auctions, where in a user need not to go to the RTA Office or even need to go around searching for an agent. The new car owner needs to login to the portal, check available numbers, reserve a number by online payment which will be straight away deposited to the Government account bypassing the local commissions which otherwise would have increased the cost further more.
 The whole data acquired for the portal is from Road Transport Authorities for all the locations approved and recognized by the government.
Website User Registration Module:
 Website registration is Web pages that request a user's information and insert it into a database.
 A registration can be used in several ways.
 Webmasters can create registration for newsletter sign-ups, forum access or customer account information.
 The last step is inserting the user's registration information into the table.
 Registration created in Java require a Web page and back-end code that inserts the user's information into the database.

 The overview of the data content and structure will allow user to made immediate use of the data
Data loading Module
 It Allows Admin users to load available numbers data periodically on to the site. i.e.,
 A data load website uses a serve for managing the content of site for visitors.
 The data load establishes the site's layout and controls the content displayed on a page.
 A data load allows you to edit, update, add and remove information quickly and easily using a simple interface.
 It provides the design and layout, and navigation is built in.
 However, one needs to provide the organizational framework so visitors can navigate the site easily.
Available Number search Module:
 On receipt of applications for registration, the Registering Authority shall arrange them alphabetically every day and assign the numbers serially after the last registration mark assigned subject to the provisions of their sub-rules.
 There is a lot of demand from the people for single digit registration numbers or sequences like 1111, 9999 or 8118 or 8181. And this trend has especially increased in the last few years. i.e., When people buy more vehicles, the demand for the numbers naturally increases
Online number booking Module:
 The proposed system facilitates the customers to fill up their details, and to give a brief description of a number they want to book. The online system is very useful for customers who want to have a number of their choice.
 First the customer has to register and then make a reservation for the number
 Second if the customer had already registered himself then he can continue booking in his own account by giving his customer id or mail id.
 Thirdly, the customer can amend details or update his details.
 The main outputs are whether the booking is confirmed or not and regular information, services are updates to the site.
ADVANTAGE:-
 The project can be easily used in the process of decision making. Different types of reports can be generated which help the management to take correct decision and reduce the time delay of the user.
CONCLUSION:
 At the conclusion Government of RTA provide auction offer for a large range of Consignment numbers.
 Clients include all the type of people.
 Buyers can either purchase a number prior to auction at a fixed price, bid the number or participate live online in real time over the internet from anywhere .
