AUTOMATIC PNEUMATIC VALVEING MACHINE
SYNOPSIS
Pneumatic technology has acquired tremendous importance in the field of work rationalization and the automation of old logging and coal mines to modern machine shops and space robots. Therefore, it is important that technicians and engineers have a good knowledge of the pneumatic system, pneumatic valves and accessories. The air is compressed in an air compressor and from the compressor plant the flow medium is transmitted to the pneumatic cylinder through a well-placed piping system. In order to maintain optimum efficiency of the pneumatic system, it is vital that the pressure drop between the generation and the consumption of compressed air is kept very low.
The aim is to design and develop a control system based on an electronically controlled automated pneumatic vulcanization machine. "In our project it consists of a heat sensor circuit, a solenoid valve and a pneumatic cylinder.The heat sensor is used to detect the temperature of In our project, the temperature of the heat sensor is varied by adjusting the variable braking system.
INTRODUCTION
This is an era of automation in which it is widely defined as the replacement of manual effort by mechanical power in all degrees of automation. The operation remains an essential part of the system although with the changing demands of the physical input as the degree of mechanization increases.
The degrees of automation are of two types namely.
• Complete automation.
• Semi-automation.
Semi-automation requires a combination of manual effort and mechanical power, while in complete automation human participation is very insignificant.
FUNCTIONING
The main components of our project are,
• Heat sensor
• Control unit with power supply
• Solenoid valve
• Flow Control Valve
• Compressor
The heating coil draws power from the source 230V a.c. The temperature of the heating coil is changed by adjusting the temperature value of the variable resistor. So the coil is heated to the particular temperature.
The tube is fixed to the base of the support in L. The heating coil is fixed under the support bed in L. The side of the vulcanization tube is held above the heating coil. The tube is heated to the particular temperature. The control unit supplies the solenoid valve, so that the pneumatic cylinder is in forward stroke. After reaching the set temperature value, the solenoid valve power is automatically cut off by the sensor unit. The plunger is released to the previous position after the vulcanization process is completed. This machine is compact in size and semi-automated. The time consumption during the operation is much lower than the manual operation.
