Speed is one of the basic reasons for the vehicle accident. Many lives could have been saved if the emergency service could get accident information and be on time. Nowadays, GPS has become an integral part of a vehicle system. This document proposes to use the ability of a GPS receiver to monitor the speed of a vehicle and detect the accident based on the supervised speed and send the location of the accident to an Alert Service Center. The GPS will monitor the speed of a vehicle and compare with the previous speed in each second through a Micro-controller Unit. Whenever the speed is below the specified speed, it will assume that an accident has occurred. The system will then send the location of the accident acquired from the GPS along with the time and speed using the GSM network. This will help get you to the rescue service on time and save valuable human life.
