This eye-blink sensor is based on IR. The variation through the eye will vary according to the blink of the eye. If the eye is closed it means that the output is high, otherwise the output is low. This is to know that the eye is closing or opening the position. This output is to give the logic circuit to indicate the alarm. The IR transmitter is used to transmit the infrared rays in our eye. The IR receiver is used to receive the reflected infrared rays of the eye. If the eye is closed it means that the output of the IR receiver is high, otherwise the output of the IR receiver is low. This is to know that the eye is closing or opening the position.
This output is to give the logic circuit to indicate the alarm. This project involves the control of accidents due to unconscious through blinking of the eyes. Here is an eye flicker (IR) sensor where if someone loses conscious and indicates through alarm. There is IR-based detection unit consisting of transmitter and receiver. The transmitter transmits the IR rays and if the eyes are open the rays will be reflected and the very high amount will be reflected back to the receiver if it is closed comparatively less.
This variation can be converted to voltage using the appropriate interface. The driver can detect the voltage difference and define the condition that if the eyes are open, the vehicle will move and the alarm will not blow anymore the alarm will be activated and the vehicle will slowly stop automatically.
