ABSTRACT
The project entitled “Online Bus Pass Registration / Renewal” is developed using Active Server Page.Net as Front end and MS SQL Server as back end. Bus pass registration is useful for passengers who are facing problems with the current manual work of bus pass registration and renewal. His/her renewal or registration can be done through credit card. In the manual system theusert has to go on particular date and time if they fail then the renewal cannot be done.
This online bus pass registration application will help candidates to save their time and renewal bus pass without standing in a line for hours near counters. Initially uses need to register with the application by submitting their details through online. The administrator will verify the candidate details and if they are satisfied they will approve bus pass. The candidate can login with their username and password and renewal is performed. The renewal process is carried by paying the money using the credit card. The candidate can give their valuable feedback for further enhancement of this project.
Introduction
The National Bus Pass in England entitles the pass-holder to free off peak travel on local buses anywhere in Tamil Nadu.
The pass is available to students or those with certain disabilities.
Who is eligible for the concession?
You are entitled to a travel pass if you are a permanent resident in the Bedford Borough area and are entitled by age or have an eligible disability (under the Transport Act 2000).
The onus is always on the applicant to prove their entitlement for a concessionary travel pass.
Online Bus Pass system
Customer can buy the bus ticket over the Internet, 24 hours a day throughout the week, this solves the issue of bus ticket being misplaced or stolen. In addition, the online system lets the customers check the availability of the bus ticket before they buy bus ticket. Furthermore, customers no need to pay cash to buy bus ticket because they can pay the bus ticket by using Credit Card (e.g. Master Card, Visa Card).
