Moulding is one of the important metals that form the process in the manufacture of components for various applications in the industry. Molding of any size and shape can be done accurately. Automation in this field helps improve the casting environment and the precision of the castings. The efficiency of the molding is affected by several parameters such as permeability, collapse, tackiness, etc. Therefore, it is a necessity to avoid defects in the casting.
Defects occur in sand smelters after a major problem in smelting. In our project, two pneumatic cylinders are used to fully automate the drilling mechanism at the limit. So we have selected the idea of the manufacture of automatic drilling mechanism.
An air compressor is required to operate this machine. One cylinder is used to move the cube in linear motion and another is used to raise and lower the cube so that the molten material goes to the pattern automatically. The bucket is attached to the end of the piston rod containing the molten materials. The pressure developed inside the cylinder alternates the piston.
