In a single definition, Diamond Chip or Carbon Chip is an electronic chip made from a Carbon structural carbon wafer. Or it can also be defined as the electronic component made using carbon as the wafer. The main component that uses carbon is (cnt) Nanotube carbon. Carbon nanotube is a nano dimensional made using carbon. It has many unique properties.
Electronics without silicon is amazing, but will come true with the evolution of the diamond or the carbon chip. Now one day we are using silicon for the manufacture of electronic chips. It has many disadvantages when used in electronic power applications, such as mass size, slow operating speed, etc. Carbon, silicon and germanium belong to the same group in the periodic table.
They have four valence electrons in their outer shell. Pure silicon and germanium are semiconductors at normal temperature. So in the early days are widely used for the manufacture of electronic components. But later it is found that germanium has many disadvantages compared to silicon, such as large reverse current, less stability towards temperature, etc. so in the industry focused on the development of electronic components using silicon wafers
Now people from the research found that carbon is more advantageous than silicon. By using carbon as a manufacturing material, we can achieve smaller, faster and stronger chips. They are successful in making smaller prototypes of carbon chip. They invented a major component using coal which is "CARBON NANOTUBE", which is widely used in most modern microprocessors and will be an important component in the diamond chip.
