The Z-Source Inverter (ZSI) has been reported to be suitable for the residential PV system because of the single-stage voltage increase and inversion capability. Recently, four new topologies, the quasi-Z-Source (qZSI) inverters, have been derived from the original ZSI. This project analyzes a voltage-fed topology of these four in detail and applies it to photovoltaic power generation systems. By using the new topology of quasi-Z origin, the inverter draws a constant current from the photovoltaic array and is able to handle a wide range of input voltage. It also offers lower component ratings and reduced font voltage compared to traditional ZSI. A prototype that provides three phases of 50 Hz, 230Vrms AC has been built in the laboratory. It is demonstrated from the theoretical analysis and the results of MATLAB / SIMULATION that the proposed qZSI can realize investment of voltage or impulse and investment of CC in a single stage with high reliability and efficiency, which makes it very suitable for power systems Photovoltaic. The new Z-Source Inverter (ZSI) advantageously exploits the trigger state to increase the DC bus voltage by activating the upper and lower switches of a phase stage and produce a desired output voltage which is greater than DC bus voltage available. In addition, the reliability of the inverter has been greatly improved because the tripping through the non-response can no longer destroy the circuit. Therefore, it provides a low cost, reliable and high efficiency single stage structure for the conversion of power and power. The proposed qZSI inherits all the advantages of the ZSI and presents its unique merits. The buck / boost power conversion can be performed in a single stage with a wide gain range that is well suited for use in photovoltaic power generation systems. In addition, the proposed qZSI has a continuous input current, reduced source stress, and lower component rating when compared to traditional ZSI.
