DAM LEVEL MONITORING & ALERT SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
Objective of our project based on AT89C51 is to monitor and send SMS alerts using GSM modem
It gives alert to the inhabitants who were residing near river banks when water reaches a critical level .
It monitors different levels of water in dam and sends water level status to the authorities.
RELEVANCE
Pathetic condition of Dams and corrupted official’s irresponsibility may led to severe threats to living beings
Alerts using GSM is faster than other media communication and announcements ,and hence reliable
Electricity failure during monsoon
Authorities and experts can monitor the water level regularly with SMS alerts

ADVANTAGES
Detection and sending sms through gsm modem is very faster can be implemented with the arrival of 3G
Circuit is cost effective
CONCLUSION
The water level detector detects 3 levels.
When water level crosses each level, information is passed to the controller and controller checks for the precaution instruction and forward it to the GSM modem.
Modem immediately sends that particular sms to the mobile phones.
