Abstract
Cloud point extraction is proposed for AProceduru concentration of trace amounts of Palladium (II), Silver (I) and gold (III) in the aquatic environment. Metal ions in aqueous solution were recovered by non-ionic surfactant, Triton x-114 after the formation of the complex with 4-(p-chlorophenyl) -1-(pyridin-2-yl) tiosemikarbazid at pH 6.0 in the presence of 0.3 mol l-1 sodium sulfate as vysalivatelâ at 25° c. dilution of surfactant-rich phase with acidified methanol conducted after separation of phases and metal ions were identified by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. The main factors affecting the extraction procedure, such as pH, concentration of ligand, and the number of Triton X-114 were examined in detail. Under optimal conditions of the experiment, gauge graphics were linear UP to 125, 50, and 100 μg L-1 and enrichment factors were 52, 46 and 56 for Palladium, silver and gold, respectively. Detection limits based on three times the standard deviation of a blank signal 10 repeated measurements, divided by the slope of the calibration curves were 0.12, 0.08 and 0.30 µg L-1 for Palladium, silver and gold, respectively. The accuracy of results has been verified by analyzing water samples spiked. The proposed method was applied to determine the metal ions in the soil and rock samples, with satisfactory results.

Noble metals such as Palladium (Pd), Silver (Ag), and gold (Au) have many applications in our lives [1] and [2]. These metals are found in the environment at the level of the trace and ultratrace. Therefore, a very sensitive method is necessary for accurate and precise definitions. For this purpose several analytical methods have been developed for the measurement of these ions in real samples including: spectrophotometry, flame atomic absorption spectrometry (ADVISORY), inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), inductively coupled plasma Atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and electrochemical methods.

Electro thermal absorption Atomic Spectrometry (ÈTAAS) is a good method to determine the amount of ultra-trace amounts of heavy metals in several types of samples due to its sensitivity. But because of the ultra-low concentrations of metals and high concentration to matrix components in most real-world samples, ÈTAAS often require suitable pre-treatment stage.
