Electronic / automated toll collection systems are very popular these days. They do not require the manual collection and operation of the toll barriers. The details about the vehicles and the payment are stored in an RFID-based system. The electronic toll collection system allows vehicle drivers to pass toll booths without stopping at toll booths. The amount of toll is deducted from the RFID card. This RFID card is rechargeable and the account is stored in the registers.

The automatic toll system will have two benefits:-
The first benefit is that the traffic movement will be much faster as the user will not wait to give the money because, the driver has to display the RFID card in front of the card reader. And then the RFID-based automatic door control system will open the door to pass.
Second benefit is that the driver does not have to carry the money every time. It will only recharge the RFID card for a certain amount and use this card every time you travel. This is little similar to using credit cards.It can be understood in the following video:
