INTRODUCTION
The project uses two pairs of IR sensors, a pair of IR sensors is placed near the level crossing to control the railroad gate, the sensors are placed at some distance from each other, taking into account the direction of movement of the train the sensor Which detects the arrival of the train can be called as the sensor and upstream sensor detecting the output of the train can be called as the disadvantage sensor. Each pair of sensors consists of a transmitter and a receiver, in our case a light emitting diode (led) is used as transmitter and a p-n junction photodiode is used as the receiver. Each time the top receiver is activated, the door motor rotates in a certain direction and closes the rail door and remains close until the receiver is activated, once the receiver is activated, The motor rotates again and the gate opens. Now, by applying the same operating principle of the IR sensors used in the gate control for track switching, we can easily monitor the track and create the track switching if necessary. In the track switching mechanism, a sensor pair is placed close to the track switching junction. Considering a situation where there is a freight train on the main line and suppose that a local train or an express train is taking the same route taken by the goods transporting train, then to avoid any delay to the train Local the track is changed to the track of the bypass line for the train to pass. The blade switch is used to control the movement of trains, since the blade switch is a magnet sensor consisting of an on / off switch, the switch stays on until it detects any magnet once it detects a magnet The switch goes off. Placing a magnet on the train and a reed switch at the station the train can be stopped at the station and after a second of delay the train can be allowed to go.
LITERARY SURVEY
The proposed system can be referred to as an upgrade of the existing rail system that converts the railroad gate, both manned and unmanned, into an automated gate control unit. Automatic switching between train tracks and train operation automatically.
METHODOLOGY
The microcontroller is the control unit which controls the section of the rail door, the track switching section and the train control unit via a relay section. The actions performed by the microcontroller depend on the energy transition of the IR sensor. IR Sensors: The IR sensor section consists of an IR transmitter and a receiving section, the transmitter section consists of a led IR with a current limiting resistance of 1Kilo ohms that continuously emits photons in the receiving unit
CONCLUSION
The proposed project has many important advantages that will reduce railroad crossing accidents, increase accuracy and reduce errors that occur due to manual operations. It will reduce the train collision and also manage the route of a particular train to avoid any delays in reaching its destination. The train will always be on time in the station, there will be no delay occurring in the manual operation. Security can be implemented by placing a tracker on the train to monitor the location of the train in case of any problems. Solar panels can be used to generate power for the system there by increasing the efficiency of the system.
