The Tobacco Teacher's College has a college in Tambac, Algéo-Marquette County, Kenya. It is one of the 20 public primary teachers colleges in Kenya and at the end of 1980, with the support of the World Bank, one of the five institutions created by the Kenya government. The college is located in the Deodor section of the Aldo-Marquette County, near Aldront-Cabernet Road. The college is 43 km from Eldoret and 11 km from Iten, the district headquarters. In September 1991, the college had opened its doors to the first batch of 372 students. Among them nine classes, six P1 grades, one in P2 and one in P3 grade. Since 1996, college is training only P1 students
