Tips for anchoring the script
Keep it short, sweet and simple. Set the tone and get the attention of your attendees.
Steve Jobs began his opening speech at Stanford with "Thanks, I'm honored to be here today ...", then shared a story.
This is how you get the attention of people. This is how you set the tone. You show gratitude and make the event on them.
Well, it all depends on you. When I started to anchor I was told, do it this way and do it that way. Keep it so long, keep it short. But really, if you take away the technical details (can not exceed x minutes, due to schedule / must be formal, the audience is really conservative) is up to you.
