Nowadays stocks are traded electronically instead of manual with an open crying approach. As a result, the business activities of investment banking organizations depend to a large extent on the availability of their trading systems. Any failure of the system will directly affect your business and in turn will damage your reputation. Due to the complexity of the business, stock trading requires services provided by many systems, even within the same company. Any failure of a single system can stop the business. However, monitoring many systems simultaneously is not an easy task. This article proposes a web service approach to monitor all systems related to securities trading within an investment banking organization. We developed a model to specify how to detect potential system problems quickly, how to escalate problems to relevant parities in time with an alert mechanism and how to manage system outages correctly.
