Genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic studies have led to a better understanding of fundamental processes such as cell wall formation, cell development and chromosomal rearrangement in fusion products, whether or not obtained after irradiation. Advanced methods of molecular screening of both the genome and the cytoplasm facilitate the efficient screening of symmetric and asymmetric fusion products.
