ABSTRACT

The sources such as, the Sun, Wind, Hydro, Ocean and Bio-mass can never be exhausted and therefore they are called as Renewable or Alternate Energy sources. Since they are harmless to the environment, some of the important Renewable energy sources such as, SOLAR POWER, TIDAL POWER, BIO-MASS, GEOTHERMAL POWER and WAVE POWER were studied. The merits and demerits of the above sources were also discussed. These renewable energies are safe for the environment and they can be considered as a alternate source for non-renewable energy.
