Operation Analysis of Novel UPFC Based on H-Bridge Modules

Abstract-.

This paper proposes a novel UPFC based on Hidge
modules, isolated through single-phase multi-winding
transformers. The dynamic performance of proposed system was
analyzed by simulation with EMTDC, assuming that the UPFC is
connected with the 138-kV transmission line of one-machineinfinite-
bus power system. The proposed system can he directly
connected to the transmission Line without series injection

Abstract
The main concept of unified power flow controller(UPFC) is based on back to back connection of two inverters witha common capacitor dc link. This capacitor brings about severaldisadvantages such as affecting the reliability of UPFC. Thispaper proposes a new topology for UPFC based on matrixconverter. This configuration is combination of nine 4-quadrantswitches and not any storage element. Main advantages ofproposed topology are reduction of number of switches, low costand size of UPFC. i am Mugdha Shimpi working as lecturer at MIT polytechnic pune,
i am at second year of my M.E(Power system)at PVG college of engineering pune.
i have given my seminar two on the above mentioned topic upfc based power quality improvement ,& now want to continue this topic as my project for M.E.dessertation .
basic abt upfc are studied by me,its working,function etc.
I want a MATLAB based simulation on above topic, & also a hardware developed if possible.
