The amount of air needed for combustion is 800,000 cubic feet per minute. This air is drawn though the large air inlet section where it is cleaned, cooled and controlled, in order to reduce noise.

I am Ravi kumar from Visakhpatnam doing B.E(Mechanical) final year. We decided to do a project on improving efficiency of boiler in thermal power plant. We chose thermal plant department in Visakhaptanm Steel Plant. We have submitted our project title in college which could not be changed.

But we learnt in plant from our guide that there is nothing in plant to do to improve boiler efficiency and he is neither supporting us.

Hence i want any of project ideas ....etc

Thermal power station
A thermal power station is a power plant in which the prime mover is steam driven.
Water is heated, turns into steam and spins asteam turbine which drives an electrical generator. After it passes through the turbine, the steam is condensed in a condenser and recycled to where it was heated; this is known as a Rankine cycle.
