STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM



In India you must have seen many places where Street Lights will be ON whether its day time or night or worst is the case when it will be ON for 24 hours. This wastes lots off electricity and to save energy is one of the most important tasks nowadays where our resources are being finished.

This project consists of an RTC which is responsible for generating time. We will write the program such that depending on the time the light will be ON or OFF.

In place of RTC we can use LDR which will see the brightness ....etc

The main objective of this project is to reduce the power consumption in the streets. according to the existing system, power consumption is more due to the irregular functionalities of the street lights. By using our proposed system, we can control the consumption of power. initially, the light will be in dim condition, whenever the vehicle crosses the sensor(controller),light starts to increase .brightness of the light is depends on the number of vehicles which crosses the sensor. if one vehicle crosses the sensor, the light will be in minimu ....etc

Increasing of road traffic is a major problem, but in this project it is a solution. We can make a speed-breaker in such a design that it produced light. For example on the top middle of the speed breaker if we put a wooden pole so that it will press down by each vehicle and back to its original position. By this function every time wooden pole rotates the Electric-Dynamo to produce power for the Street-Light. ....etc
