i heared that split cylinder/split cycle engine is more efficient than a conventional engine.i wish to do a project related to this.so i need some technical helps.
size of compressor related to the size of engine, how to reduse the temperatuer of engine, whether the firing leads to auto ignition in the passage, firing after TDC makes any benifit,how it reduces the NOx and CO2 emission,here we are using two cylinders then is it possible to reduce the size of the engine, is it possible to regulate the flow of highly compressed air with some n ....etc

The first four-stroke piston was developed in 1876.
This four-stroke piston arrangement is still the primary design of engines built today.
Todays engines operate at only 33% efficiency.this means that only 1/3 of the energy in each gallon of fuel is used-the rest is lost through friction and heat.

The split-cycle engine divides these four strokes between two paired cylinders: one for intake/compression and another for power/exhaust.

Compressed air transferred from the compression cylinder to the  power cylinder through a crossover passage.
