Abstract
This work describes a novel method in improving the
input current total harmonic distortion (THD) as well as the power
factor of a three-phase suppressed-link rectifier-inverter circuit.
This proposed method makes use of only three bi-directional low
power static switches with a relatively simple gating circuit. This
paper illustrates how the proposed method is superior in reducing
the input current THD of a rectifier-inverter set to about 5%,
which is in line with the requirements of IEEE standard 519–1992.

INTRODUCTION
Efficient control of D.C motor speed is very economical to any industries for that reason we are using full wave rectifier in which we are using triacs as switches because of bi-directional nature of triacs we are preferred instead of using thyrister as a switches. To obtain a four quadrant operation we need 8 switches if we use thyristers (this circuit called dual converter) and if we use triacs we need 4 switches only.

Abstract
An active current injection network for a three-phaserectifier is proposed. The proposed circuit uses three bidirectionalswitches operating at low frequency and a half-bridge inverteroperating at high frequency. It also uses an inductor in orderto make the current modulation.
