RTX51 Full is a full-blown real-time kernel. It supports
up to 256 tasks and provides control over semaphores,
task signals, message queues, and memory pools. It is
designed for 8051-based applications that have numerous
tasks and many resources to manage. CAN support is
provided for a number of 8051-based CAN
microcontrollers as well as many external CAN
controllers.
RTX51 Tiny is a small real-time kernel (around 800
bytes). It supports applications that have reduced

QNX is a real time operating system designed for critical tasks. Developed by QNX Software Systems it has a structure similar to UNIX and is compatible to POSIX. With an API Wrapper it supports software for Linux, the source code was opened by QNX partly. His strengths are the development of software, control of industrial roboters and embedded devices. By the real time ability of QNX the Neutrino Kernel allows with a pentium III the controlled reaction time (interrupt processing) of 0.55 µ sec in which events can be registered. For co ....etc

A real time system is defined as follows - A real-time system is one in which the correctness of the computations not only depends upon the logical correctness of the computation but also upon the time at which the result is produced. If the timing constraints of the system are not met, system failure is said to be occurred.
