In this paper expert system is designed using rule-based reasoning to evaluate the probability of cancer .This is developed for mammographic findings to provide support for the clinical decision to perform biopsy of the breast. The system was evaluated using a WBCD dataset and performed with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.83, comparable with the performance of a neural network model. Abstract:
A patch antenna is presented which has been designed to radiate frequencies in the range 4–9.5 GHz into human breast tissue. The antenna is shown by means of previously unpublished simulation and practical measurements to possess a wide input bandwidth, radiation patterns that remain largely consistent over the band of interest and a good front-to-back ratio. Consideration is also given to the antenna’s ability to radiate a pulse, and in this respect it is also found to be suitable for the proposed application.

Overview

Breast cancer arises in the milk-producing glands of the breast tissue. Groups of glands in normal breast tissue are called lobules.
