An Efficient and Fair Scheduling Scheme for
Multiuser OFDM Wireless Networks



Abstract

This paper proposes a new MAC scheduling scheme
for efficient support of multimedia services in multiuser OFDM
wireless networks, both in the uplink and in the downlink. This
scheme is based on a system of weights that dynamically accounts
for the experienced QoS and the transmission conditions in
an extended higher layers/MAC/PHY cross layer design.

This project implements a network Monitoring Tool written in Java. It uses users system's ping utility to send ICMP ECHO_REQUEST to a host or device. With each collection, it sends 3 pings to get the average latency. Results are then plotted in real-time so user can monitor network latency.
