This Power House is on the NangalHydel Channel, which originates from the NangalDam.This Power House has been working very efficiently since 1955 with the equipment from Westing House- USA and Hitachi-Japan. The Power House generates a total of 77.65 MW. The two units of WestingHouse-USA origin have already been renovated and modernised by BHEL units. Storage capacity of reservoir:

The available Storage capacity depends upon the size and the height of dam.
Engineering surveys are usually conducted for preliminary estimation of the capacity.
Survey of Indian map can be used .Scale 1cm=500m(RF=1/50000)and1cm=2500
(RF=1/250000)

For accurate determination of the capacity a topographic survey of the area is usually conducted and a contour map of the area is prepared.
