Abstract

This paper focuses on the field of nano memory storage systems. It in particular discusses about a research project named Millipede under development at IBM labs.
In this, nanometer-sharp tips are used to scan the storage surface and to write and read data. In this, storage densities of up to 500 Gbit/in2 can be achieved by thermo mechanical writing and reading us ....etc
