Abstract— Computational Private Information Retrieval (cPIR) protocols allow a client to retrieve one bit from a database, without the server inferring any information about the queried bit. These protocols are too costly in practice because they invoke complex arithmetic operations for every bit of the database. In this paper, we present pCloud, a distributed system that constitutes the first attempt toward practical cPIR. i am a Msc student and i would want towrite my project on alternative authentiation for social networking websites. here i propose to use pictures as a means of authenticating users on a network where users would have to choose two pictures or more while enrolling on the network, and as a means of authenticating a user when he wants to sign on to the system the system would present the user with pictures that contain the original password and some other pictures as well. these other pictures would serve as distractors. ....etc
