Linbot advanced line following robot

Linbot is an advanced line tracer robot. It has one pair of infrared emitters and sensors directed forward, as well as three pairs of infrared emitters and sensors directed downward. Linbot can follow a black line placed on a white floor as well as a white line on a black floor.

When it meets with an obstacle while following the line, it makes a U-turn and continues on. It comes in kit form, allowing the user to acquire hands on experience in robo ....etc

Introduction

What is a line follower?
Line follower is a machine that can follow a path. The path can be visible like a black line on a white surface (or vice-versa) or it can be invisible like a magnetic field.
Why build a line follower?

First off, if your new to BEAM and haven't had much experience with electronics, go to Solarbotics and buy the Photopopper 4.2 kit. It is an excellent kit with all the parts you'll need, a high output solarcell, new pager motors, omni-directional feeler switches, in-depth and informative documentation and a cute little PCB. TRAFFIC RULE FOLLOWING VEHICLE SYSTEM
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION :
To design a fully equipped vehicle which does not allow the driver to violate traffic rules, i.e.
1. In regions which require a particular speed limit/go slow regions, vehicle automatically fixes its maximum speed.
2. In a 'horn free zone', horns do not work.
3. In a ‘no parking’ zone, an alert system is activated which prevents the driver from leaving the vehicle.
4. Maintains a safe following distance.
