Non-Linear Analysis and Design of Perforated Thin-walled Steel Strutures

Introduction
Perforated thin-walled steel structures are widely used, however, current design guidelines for them are limited to very few specific cases.
The seminar will try to describe a proposed method to develop new design guidelines for this kind of structures by using the Direct Strength Method (DSM) which is a fast and easy design method for cold-formed steel structures, with great potential for complex and optimized cross sections.
