This paper investigates the kinematics of an adjustable six-bar linkage where the rotation
of the input crank is converted into the oscillation of the output link. This single-degree-of
freedom planar linkage will be used as a variable-speed transmission mechanism where

Introduction

The goal was to create a four bar linkage and demonstrate its motion with a hand crank. We went above and beyond the rubric by adding 5 other legs. It didn't need to turn, it didn't need to be efficient, it just had to demonstrate we did the calculations and analysis of the path of the outer most point of the linkage. ....etc

Article about what the bar code really is, how it is calculated and what it hides, so ingeniously. The numbers are represented by vertical lines and bars, with variable width, either black (which you easily see) or white (some of them you don't, like those at the margins). Those codes are said to make the work much easier, as there are used optical detectors to read the numbers. Each number is generated function of a product code.
