Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) concept is
very important in the academic community. The open
philosophy of FOSS is consistent with academic
freedom and the open dissemination of knowledge and
information in academia. FOSS can lower the barriers
to access of ICTs by reducing the cost of the software.

WSAZ uses its low-power translator in Charleston to provide viewers with a split newscast. Weeknights at 6 and 11, the two anchors appear together on screen until a certain point (usually 10-15 minutes into the newscast) when the show will split. The sole motive of an AUTOSAR is the replacement of the proprietary standards of the software system functions, into an open standard. This helps in building a plug-and-play atmosphere where the software modules can go hand in hand with the electronic architecture at the same time.
