Power electronics remains an emerging technology. Two important factors in power electronics system are the switching speed of the devices and the total power loss in the system. If the switching speed can be increased ,improvements may be possible i.e. current ripples in an electrical machine or physical size of passive components may be reduced. Abstract
Large-scale distributed measurement systems are the object of several applications and research.In this article, attempts are made for developing measurement techniques that are suited to the continuous monitoring of the electrical quantities in distribution networks by using Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers. The quantities are measured in terms of synchronized phasors. general-purpose acquisition hardware and processing software is used here and as a result, the system can be easily easily reconfigured and reprogra ....etc

The pulsed electro acoustic analysis (PEA) can be used for space charge measurements under dc or ac fields. The PEA method is a non-destructive technique for profiling space charge accumulation in polymeric materials. The method was first proposed by T.Takada et al. in 1985.
