ABSTRACT


The testing of zener diodes requires a variable dc power supply. A typical test circuit can be constructed, as shown in figure 4-19. In this circuit, the variable power supply is used to adjust the input voltage to a suitable value for the zener diode being tested. Introduction
When the pn junction diode is reverse-biased, then current does not flow.
However when the reverse voltage exceeds a certain value, the junction breaks down and current flows with only slight increase of voltage. This breakdown is caused by avalanche multiplication of electrons and holes in the space charge region of the junction.

What the Flexible Organic Light Emitting Diode Consist of :

The Top Layer is the Cathode layer made of tungsten releases electrons when current is run through it.

Emissive Layer removes electrons from the cathode layer to make light.

Conductive layer is made from a type of organic plastic that removes the electron wholes

PN-Junction Diode Characteristics

Forward Bias --- External battery makes the Anode more positive than the Cathode --- Current flows in the direction of the arrow in the symbol.
Reverse Bias --- External battery makes the Cathode more positive than the Anode --- A tiny current flows opposite to the arrow in the symbol.

Series-Connected Diodes

Use 2 diodes in series to withstand higher reverse breakdown voltage.
