Biogas containing approximately 60% methane can be produced from paddy straw -a lingocellulosic waste, by anaerobic fermentation using cattle dung as source of inoculum .The total gas production from the paddy straw is more in comparison to that of cattle dung as substrate. But pretreatment of paddy straw with NaOH can reduce the Holding Retention Time significantly. The factory contains an 'acid regeneration plant', where Spend Acid is regenerated to Hydro Chloric Acid, which is the desired output of the plant. For this regeneration of the acid a burner control system is required. The temperature range of the burner is between 9000c -12000c.The reactants required for regeneration plant are Iron Chloride and Spend Acid vapourises and breaks down into H2O and Acid. Iron Chloride also breaks down into Iron Oxide and Chlorine.

Biogas is a clean environment friendly fuel. Raw biogas contains about 55–65% methane (CH4), 30–45% carbon dioxide (CO2), traces of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and fractions of water vapors.
