Abstract
This paper proposes a method of automatic people
counting used in air-conditioning energy-saving. The method
has counted the number of people in the indoor environments
through three modules: image pre-processing module, image
marking module and people counting module, in order to
control air-conditioning controller to achieve the purpose of
saving energy. Through experiment comparing, image preprocessing
module chooses image graying, Gaussian average
filter, binarization and opening operation to optimize images.

ABSTRACT
A lightweight method for counting and localizing people using camera sensor networks is described in this article. a motion histogram is made use of by the algorithm for detecting the people based on motion and size criteria.the distribution of people in a roomis estimated by the motin histogram, given a threshod vaueof the pixels in a frame-differenced motion´ image.
