Abstract:

Behaviour-based approach plays a key role for mobile robots to operate safely in unknown or dynamically
changing environments. We have developed a hybrid control architecture for our autonomous robotic fish that consists of
three layers: cognitive, behaviour and swim pattern.

Ideally an intelligent autonomous car would have an automatic pilot, which can park itself and guide the vehicle through dense traffic in towns and at high speeds between towns. At any time the driver would have the ability to switch between automatic and driver control.
